CartMotion has transformed the typical shopping cart into a data collection cart on wheels gathering untapped data for retailers and manufacturers to improve their returns on marketing dollars, in-store layouts, customer service, labor productivity and asset management.
"CartMotion provides insight for improving the decision making process for both retailers and manufacturers who annually spend billions of dollars on in-store marketing and promotional marketing without data that has never been available," said Jason Sigala, Vice President of Marketing for Intelligentz Corporation.
A Real Time Location System (RTLS), in conjunction with CartMotion's analytical software, delivers detailed data on consumers' shopping behaviors throughout the retail environment. Sensors are positioned strategically and discreetly around the store perimeter to locate shopping carts within six inches of their precise locations. For the first time in the retail industry, CartMotion provides valuable data to both retailers and manufacturers which includes: consumer shopping patterns, traffic count by category, time spent in each category, retail conversion rate and asset management.
